Love suffers long and is kind, love does not envy, love does not parade itself, is not puffed up, does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth, bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things – 1 Corinthians 13 : 4 – 7.
Love does not hurt. When we are able to have this mind set of the word of God, I believe we cannot expect too much from the other person which is one of the greatest mistakes we make. One can only give what he have. Who does not have love cannot give love. The last part of the above bible verse said, ”love endures all” so if you cannot endure any little thing, how then can you endure all and if you cannot endure all then there is no love in you. Let the love of God grow in you which can bring forth much fruit to enable you to endure all situation and circumstance.
When you are lonely and rejected, you feel emptiness, you feel rejection, abandonment, isolated and all these hurts because you don’t have whom to share your feelings with. Then turn to God because He is expecting you. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me – Psalm 27 : 10.
For the Lord will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance – Psalm 94 : 14.
When loss someone, you are filled with sorrow and sadness but the Lord is with you. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scotch you – Isaiah 43 : 2.
Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand – Isaiah 41 : 10.

Agreed, but there is a dear cost to love or to allow another to love you, for we are human and cannot achieve the form of perfect love that God has for his children. In our weaknesses as human beings we fail at love creating pain, loneliness, anger, jealously, heartache. It is inevitable and love is something that must be worked at because there is no such thing as the fairy tale “happily ever after” that delusional lovers imagine. Love is a great and wonderful thing that holds within it an incalculable power for both good and evil. Great wars have been fought in the name of love, many deaths continue mare the meaning of what love was intended to be. We must work at love everyday, especially for those who are hardest to love.
