In this series, I will like to write about Queen Esther in the bible. In her book, there was a king whose name was Ahasuerus who reigned over one hundred and twenty seven provinces from India to Ethiopia and his throne was in Shushan the citadel. The bible says that in the third year of his reign, he made a feast for all his officials and servants with the sole aim of showing the riches of his glorious kingdom and the splendor of his excellent majesty for many days, one hundred and eighty days in all.
This is what most people do today – demonstrating their wealth as if it was achieved through their strength. We should recognize Him as the giver because it is written that He is the owner of gold and silver.
