In the year 1999 I worked for about six months in a place where we prune apple trees and some other fruits and it will be done once the trees shared it’s leaves.  The first day I was asked if I can do it, I said yes because I thought that it was a very simple thing to do but unknowingly to me that it is not all branches have the strength to produce much fruits in the following season.

I was given a compressor scissors to use and I climbed the tractor which we used as a ladder. I started cutting down the branches I felt was too young because I thought the old ones was stronger to hold the fruits when the time comes. Two people were assigned to a tree and one on each side. I have not finished my side of the first tree when suddenly I was asked to stop and I was told that I was asked to dress the plant and not to destroy it. I was now assigned to someone that has gotten experience whom I now followed for about two days who now taught me how to do it.

We are like the branches. Everyday our Heavenly Father prunes us through the help of the Holy Spirit who always remind us of those things that will not make us to bear much fruits in our lives and He will give us the grace to leave it no matter how important it seems to be. His plan for us is to bear much fruits so if there is anything that will be an obstacle or barrier to such, it will be cut off if we depend fully on Him. Dependent on Him is not only to bear fruit it will also give us the right to ask for anything from Him and it will be given to us.

I am the true vine and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit – John 15 : 1 – 2.

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, bears much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered and they gather them and throw them into the fire and they are burned. If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you – John 15 : 5 – 7.

Father, I appreciate all that You have done for us. Help us to be dependent on You fully no matter the trials we might be facing in life for us to be fruitful as have You have promised us because without You, we cannot do nothing so that at last the glory and honor will be given to You in the name of Jesus Christ.
