GENERATIONAL BLESSING AND GENERATIONAL CURSE

In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed – Genesis 22 : 18.

This is a generational blessing that God declared over Abraham’s descendants. The children yet unborn when this prayer was declared into Abraham’s life benefited from this simple prayer.

 

As there are generational blessings so also there are generational curses.

Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and your descendants forever. And he went out from his presence leprous, as white as snow – 2 Kings 5 : 27.

Because of greed, Gehazi brought a curse not only on himself but on his generations yet unborn. Only one person from a family can make a mistake that can make the whole members of the family to have a share of the curse that they knew nothing about neither were they there when the mistake or covenant was made.

I knew of somebody who gave a testimony about how every male child in his mother’s family go blind without doing anything once they attain the age of 25 years. The man made me to laugh when he said, did they create blindness for his family alone? Since he was aware of such problem that his family was going through he stood in the gap and he fought such spirit and rewrite his family history. The man is above 50 years now and he is not blind.

We should stop being ignorant of the works of the devil. Study your family history and see if there is anything negative that has been going on from generation to generation which is not suppose to be and stand up and fight such spirit with the word of God because God has given you the power and instrument you need to fight it and it might be it is because of such fight God brought you to that family. Don’t take it to be normal nor try to believe the doctor’s report because the devil want to confuse the children of God so that they cannot know the truth.
