Abraham's Faith

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience – James 1 : 2 – 3.

The Tempter Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted by God, for God cannot be tempted by evil nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed – James 1 : 13 – 14.

Test will always come from God because He want you to prove that you really believe and trust Him as One who will always bring to pass all that He has promised, He will strengthen you to fulfill your purpose. Why temptation is from the devil. I like the way the dictionary put the word tempt – ”to entice to do wrong by promise of pleasure or gain”. The sole aim of the devil, is to take each and everyone away from his destiny. That is why the bible says, that he does not come for any good but rather to kill, steal and to destroy. The devil is very crafty and no matter his level of craftiness, if you resist him and prove to him that you can never be manipulated,  he will flee from you.

Lord, I thank You for the understanding You are giving to us everyday. Give us the grace to be able to resist the devil no matter how crafty he might seems to be in the name of Jesus Christ.
