ALLOWING GOD TO FIGHT YOUR BATTLE

In our christian journey, we are bound to encounter obstacles, surprises, trials and temptations. The way we handle it will determine how we are able to prove that we are not the one controlling our life anymore but the Holy Spirit because we are not whom we use to be. And when you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you and not the other way round, you will find every battle being taken care off in the most simplest and peaceful way without you applying any force or power or creating enmity with anyone.

Last year, I went into an office to ask for a document which the office is responsible for the issuance. On the worldly view, it was the greatest humiliation I have ever gotten in life ever since I was born but, to those that are in Christ Jesus, it was a simple test which God want anyone who claim to be the follower of Christ should pass. The woman in charge told me to stay at the door without entering into her office and I obliged and stayed at the door and she now asked me what I wanted. I told her without any form of remorse. Inside the office was a table, a chair which she sat on and other two for visitors, and it measured about 30 to 40 meters square. After telling her what I wanted, she told me to bring some other documents another day after which I left.

The following week, I went to the same office and this time, I was to meet another person whom the same woman that told me the previous week to stay at the door now took me to and told him what I needed. The man told me to sit down which I did. After giving him what he demanded for, there comes the surprise. The same woman who dose not want me to enter her office was now the same person who was running from pillar to post to make sure that everything was alright while I was sitting down.

What am I saying, if we allow God to take control of our lives, where you were rejected before, they will accept you because you are putting on a crown of the favor of God and it is not just any how crown no matter how you were treated first time, be patient because His grace is upon you. If it was to be some years back, the woman will never forget me for the words I would have used for her but when you are in Christ, you should have patience and let God take control of every single step you make. That was why Apostle Paul wrote in one of his letters to the Galatians that, ”I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” – Galatians 2 : 20.

In our move with Christ, we should let go of pride, our past, personality, riches and worldly things that does not give glory to God. It is difficult to do YES but until you are able to let go of those things that does not give God glory in your life, you are not ready to be His follower because He showed us by descending from His throne and was later exulted.

Lord, how Great and Wonderful are You. I appreciate You for Your peace that You have given to us. Help us to live with humility and patience no matter how difficult it might seems to be because that is what You want from us so that at the end the glory and honor will be given to You in the name of Jesus Christ.
