I remember many years back, when we do go to farm. After preparing the land, the planting will follow and we will be very happy to plant with our parents. At times, we will be given some quantity of corn to plant and we will hold the grain in our hands and after making the holes, we will drop the seed inside and cover it and after some time, it will germinate and continue to grow. As it continue to grow, we will be very happy. During the course of this growth, there is a time which we have to weed so that it will be healthy and produce much fruit. After three months, we start the harvest. We planted only a grain of corn which we cannot see again but during harvest, it will turn to bunch of seeds. Our own is to plant and who do the great work is God who now transform the seed first to plant and later reproduction follows.
I compare this to our christian life. ”Most assuredly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone, but if it dies, it produces much grain” – John 12 : 24. When Jesus Christ came on earth, before His death, He cannot be present in different places at the same time. But after His death, His name can be call in different places and miracle will follow. God’s purpose for us is to bring more souls to His kingdom. Before we can do this, we need to do the talk and leave the Spiritual part of the work to God which is to nourish those words in the heart of the person but without speaking, there will be nothing for God to nourish. When we speak to anyone and God touch his heart and follow you to church, how do you feel? Will you be happy or sad? If we are happy, that same way the angels are also happy in heaven for any soul that accept Jesus Christ. The same way when we plant and the plant grow we were happy. At times, after converting a soul, we refuse to nourish that soul. A new born baby cannot become a father over night without the normal process of growth.
After baptism where the old self in us is buried, we are no more whom we use to be. God will now give us the power to reproduce in the body of Christ and whom ever we convert is suppose to convert other people so that the process will be continuous but at times this is not the case all the time. ”I will make you a great nation, I will bless you and make your name great and you shall be blessing’‘ – Genesis 12 : 2.
I believe this chain of production should continue because this is one of the purpose we are here on earth.
Father, I appreciate all Your marvelous work. Thank You for the power of reproduction You have placed in me. Lord, help me to use it to glorify Your kingdom and edify the body of Christ in the name of Jesus Christ.
