And the Syrians had gone out on raids and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife. Then she said to her mistress, if only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria, for he would heal him of his leprosy – 2 Kings 5 : 2 – 3.

This young girl was a captive who never thinks of her present situation to be a very big problem instead she put her problem aside and use the opportunity God has placed before her to talk about the power of God through His prophet. She never say the condition of Naaman is not her concern but rather she acted with the love of God and tried to save Naaman who was suppose to be her enemy. If the girl has not been brought to Naaman’s house, it is possible that he would not have receive his healing. She came for the purpose of healing and she never want to miss that first opportunity that came her way so she used it perfectly.

Anything we do in life, we should always do it with the love of God. We should not think we are doing it for anybody but rather for God because if we think we are doing it for the person, whenever the person wrong you, your mind might be contaminated and you will cease from doing good but if you have it in mind that whatever you are doing, is for God, so the error of that person will be of no importance to you. The scripture says, And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men – Colossians 3 : 23.

What opportunity has God given to you to declare His goodness? Have you been using it? If your answer is no, there is no problem because very soon another one is coming because our God is full of opportunities and He is never tired in giving it to us.

Thank You Lord, for making it possible for us to know You. Help us to do anything with Your love and for You in Jesus name.
