DELAY IS NOT DENIAL 1

Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, if only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well – Mark 5 : 25 – 28.

When one stay too long in a problem, people are fond of changing the person’s name to the name of his or her problem. This woman has a name but her name was forgotten because of the long time she has stayed in her sickness. Despite the name that was given to her, that does not change the plan of God for her because no matter what people say about you, they are not the owner of your life so therefore they don’t have the final say over your life. Who has the final say over your life is only God so don’t be discourage. This woman suffered many things from those that were suppose to be her helper may be because there was no more money. You are friends to many when people benefit from you but you become an enemy once your purse is empty.

The doctors tried their best but it was not good enough to heal the woman. When you have a problem and you allow it to take control of you, you  see every advise as a solution but when you allow God to take the lead no matter the level of the problem, it becomes very easy and He will bring a solution to you at the right time. When the woman heard that the Great Physician was in town, she never want to loose any opportunity that comes her way. She forced herself through the crowd because she can no more carry the problem by herself. That is what God want us to do – to bring all our problems to Him no matter how small it seems to be.

It was not Jesus that came to this woman in her comfort zone but rather this woman left where people thought was better for her. She took a bold step of faith and left her comfort zone because the bible says that faith without action is dead (James 2 : 17). She might have been humiliated before she could touch His garment but she never mind because she knew what she wanted so she persisted.

Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned in the crowd  and said, who touched My clothes? But His disciples said to Him, You see the multitude thronging You and You say, who touched You? – Mark 5 : 29 – 31.

The woman has been delayed of her healing but when the right time of God came, she received her healing. Jesus asked who touched Me and the disciples does not know the type of touch He referred to. As power left Him, He knew that something has happened. What is it that you have been praying for that seems not to have an answer? Are you ready to touch the garment of Christ today by accepting Him as your Lord and personal savior? Be courageous because He is waiting for you to come to Him. Don’t allow any opportunity to pass you by.

And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction  – Mark 5 : 32 – 34.

When the woman came out and trembling, for sure the disciples will be surprise because Jesus knew what He was saying. Through this, we know that individual faith is needed for any miracle to take place. The woman’s healing was delayed for good twelve years and during this twelve years of her expectation, she was refined and transformed. When the transformation was complete, the miracle took place.

Father Lord, may all thanks be given to You. Give us the grace to wait for Your time because Your time is the perfect time for our miracle, breakthrough, healing, transformation, favor and protection in Jesus name.
