Forgiveness is an instruction from God which we should obey. ”For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you” Matthew 6 : 14.
Forgiveness is a voluntary actitude from the mind and it is a promise from God. It is an actitude of maturity.
Joseph had the kind level of forgiveness God want us to have – forgiveness without condition. It can also be a decision of the mind which we should be ready to live with. It can bring rest of mind, it can bring peace of mind, it can bring love and it can build a great relationship.
Lack of forgiveness on the other side, can lead to death. It is an actitude of children. It can bring saddness, it can bring anger, it can make one to be in prison and it can make someone to carry irrelevant load of burdens.
God forgave us not that we are worthy of it but because of His great Love and grace upon our lives. His forgiveness is without condition so also He want us to forgive without condition even if the person do not merit it.
