Father, I thank You for a wonderful service we had yesterday. It was awesome. Some of the verses we read will be found in Proverbs 3 : 5 – 10 ”Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones. Honour the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine”. In fact this year, right from now, we should try to learn to be submissive in every area of our life. Let us trust and serve Him with all that He has given to us. Let us depend on Him completely, let us act in faith, let us bless people with what He has blessed us with and He will bless us the more. In Genesis 12 : 2   God said to Abram ” I will make you a great nation, I will bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing”. Blessing, does not only mean money – you can bless people by encouragement, through intersession, by employment, telling people about the goodness of God, sharing people’s burden, even working in company is a blessing. In this chapter of Genesis, God told Abram to get out from his family, his country and from his father’s house and that He will make him a great nation. God has not and will never make mistake if we are ready to obey Him. Abram obeyed, but not fully. Brethren, until we obey God completely, His promises will not come to pass. Abram left with his wife and his brother’s son (Lot) but the instruction was go out of your father’s house. Although Abram obeyed in one part of the instruction, God was still with him. In Genesis 13 : 1 – 7 the bible says that Abram and Lot were very rich. But it was not up to what God want for Abram. When Abram separated himself from Lot then God showed Abram (Genesis 13 : 14 – 16) the land He has given to him and He told him that He will make his descendant as the dust of the earth. The blessing was fulfilled. This blessing took long to manifest because Abram did not obey God completely from the begining and despite his disobedience but Abram believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness – Roman 4 : 3 and Galatains 3 : 6. How many of us was like Abram last year? Are we ready to follow God’s instructions to the fullness? God’s instruction might not look reasonable but if we truely obey it the result is always great. Therefore brethren, I urge everyone to add following God’s instructions completely even if it does not make sense to the natural man,  to our new year’s resolution.
