God have in Himself all mercy to pardon you, all grace to enrich you, all wisdom to direct you, all power to defend you,all righteousness to clothe you, all goodness to supply you and all happiness to crown you no matter how great sins you might have commited and mistakes you might have made.
”The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him”. Psalm 103 : 8 – 13. According to the above scripture, He has not and will not deal with us according to our deeds because of His goodness and love through which He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to pay the price. In verse 17 of this same chapter, it says ”but the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to his children’s children”. It is not because of what we do that make Him to be good and have mercy on us, but rather He has been good to us even before He created us in His own image. In psalm 23 : 6 it says that His goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life.
”For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more”. Hebrews 8 : 12 He has not and will never look us the same way we look ourselves as not worthy of His presence, mercy, grace, forgiveness. Al He want to hear and see is that we should recognise Him and believe Him as the Lord and our personal saviour.
”Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us”.Titus 3 : 5.
