THE LOVE OF GOD

 

In Genesis 1 : 26 – 27 God said, ” let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them”. It is a great joy to see that we were created in the Almighty´s image because of His love for us even before creation.

In John 1 : 12 the bible says ” But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” In one time or the other in our life, we forget this identity the Almighty Father has given to us through His Son Jesus Christ. According to the scripture, it did not say the pastors, the Evangelists, the Priest, the Bishops, the Deacons or Deaconess, nor any church leader only have the right to become His children but rather it says AS MANY AS received Him. Some circumstances we might be passing through make us to forget this great identity by opening the door for satan to come into our mind and drive us the way it wants by the use of fear which we develope in our minds. No matter how great the problem might be, we should not forget this marvelous identity we have due to the love and grace He have for us. This, He did not give due to our work or merit. We should rest on Him and avoid magnifying our problems more than it appears to be. Furthermore, we should let the devil know that we are in control, don´t give room for fear which is its greatest weapon. FEAR – FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL. It is not real. Another word according to the scripture which i will like to remember is GAVE. As we know, this is in past tense meaning it’s already be given to us weather we merit it or not, its for those that receive Him.

The bible went further to tell us in John 3 : 16 that ” For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. The love of God is not what we can work for. He already loved us before He gave His Son to die for us.   The bible says in Romans 8 : 32 that ” He who did not spare His son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things.”

In John 15 : 13 – 16 Jesus said that ” greater love has no one than this, than to lay down ones´s life for his friends. You are my friends if you do whatever i command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”

I believe it is always good for us to remember this great love that the Almighty has given to us.
